I cringed when we discovered we needed to replace the siding around our entire house, and then I spent five years interviewing contractors who were never up to par. Then, we met Jacob Fienup. After several meetings, Jacob’s professional demeanor and obvious skill level made us comfortable and relieved to finally tackle this arduous project.
Throughout the project, things could not have gone more smoothly. Jacob was a pleasure to be around and always remained professional and cheerful. His attention to detail and his building knowledge on such a complex job were very impressive, and I’m not easily impressed. Jacob is an excellent communicator, with the ability to anticipate and solve problems cost effectively, structurally, and aesthetically. In addition, at the end of every day the area around our house was left clean and picked up. Most significantly, this monumental construction job came in under budget and on time. 
On top of his immediate building responsibilities, Jacob interfaced with every outside contractor who became involved in the project. Jacob and I would discuss an issue, and then he would oversee the other contractor’s work to our satisfaction.
Our neighbors continually compliment us on Jacob’s work and our renovation. Even now, I marvel when I drive up at what a lovely house we have since the siding was replaced. In addition, our beautiful new deck offers a great space for entertaining and a refuge from our busy lives, and Jacob made it all possible.
We continue to use Jacob on our construction and renovation projects-- he will be replacing our roof this summer—and we could not be happier. We would recommend Jacob to anyone.
